KARACHI: Australian High Commissioner Peter Heyward has said Pakistani mangoes could grab maximum share in Australian import of 15,000 tonne very soon because of its delicious taste, different varieties and sweet aroma.

“I am a big fan of Pakistani mango and hope that Aussies will love it like me,” he said.
He vowed to make all-out efforts to boost trade ties between the two countries, pledging its full support and technical assistance to ensure an easy access to Pakistan business community to Australian trade markets.
Dr A Q Khan Durrani, CEO of Durrani Associates, said mango shipment of 4.5 tonnes worth $31,000 was dispatched to Australia initially and the volume would rise from next year gradually.
Bashir Hussain, CEO of Pakistan Horticulture Development and Export Company (PHDEC) also spoke.
