LAHORE: The Businessmen Group (BMG) has made a clean
sweep in All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (Aptma) Central Managing
Committee (CMC) elections in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for 2013-14.
The group secured all the six seats of CMC from Punjab region with the unopposed election of Naveed Gulzar, Abdul Rahim Nasir, Mahmood Ihsan, Sheikh Muhammad Akbar, Zahid Anwar and S M Tanveer, said an announcement of the Aptma Election Commissioner Ch Akhtar on Wednesday.
Afan Aziz (AJ Textile Mills Ltd) was declared elected unopposed for the Central Managing Committee (CMC) of Aptma from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region.
In the Aptma Punjab elections, four office bearers elected unopposed were S M Tanveer as Punjab Chairman, Syed Ali Ahsan as senior vice-chairman, Shahid Faraaz as vice-chairman and Adil Bashir as treasurer.
The new elected members of Punjab managing committee included Imran Dawood, Amer Abdullah, Anjum Zafar, Haroon Abdullah, Azhar Majeed Sheikh, Muhammad Siddique, Khwaja Masud Ahmad, Shahzad Ayub and Ali Pervaiz.
