SHC eight additional judges sworn in

KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) eight additional judges, appointed for one-year, have been sworn in on Saturday here, Geo News reported.
SHC Chief Justice Mushir Alam administered the oath in a ceremony, which was attended by SHC judges, Supreme Court’s Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali, Justice Sarmad Jalal Usmani, Justice Gulzar Ahmad, SC former Justice (retired) Bhagwan Das and the presidents and general secretaries of Karachi, Hyderabad and Sindh High Court Bar.
The family members of the new judges and senior lawyers were also present on this occasion.
Justice Shaukat Ali Memon, Justice Ashraf Jehan, Justice Shahnawaz Tariq, Justice Abdul Malik Gaddi, Justice Nazar Akber, Justice Muhammad Junaid Ghaffar, Justice Zafar Ahmed Rajput and Justice Hassan Feroze are the newly sworn in judges.
Sources said with the induction of the new judges, the total strength of SHC judges has increased to 32, while eight vacancies still exist.
Faheem Ahmad Siddiqui will be the acting SHC Registrar, following the appointment of Abdul Malik Gaddi as additional judge, sources said.
