Addressing
the media persons at the Lahore High Court on Monday, she said the
titles like ‘God Father’ by the courts for the politicians could not
remain unanswered. She was of the view respect could not be earned by
force.
Without naming the CJP, she said they (judges) should have stated the supremacy of law and democracy walked side by side.
Ms
Jahangir rejected a perception that if the parliament did not discharge
its responsibilities, the judiciary would have to play its role. She
said the country would survive if the institutions worked within their
constitutional limits.
