Karachi Police have refused leaders of Muttahida Qaumi
Movement-London (MQM-L) from visiting Yadgar-e-Shuhada monument on
Saturday in memory of the martyrs of MQM at Jinnah Ground in Azizabad,
Karachi.

Police have also deployed security forces and sealed main roads leading to Azizabad and Nine Zero. From Aisha Manzil area to Liaquat Ali Khan roundabout have been sealed with large busses.
MQM-L had earlier announced that its leaders would visit the monument in memory of martyrs, and hold Quran khawani to pray for them. Due to this, Karachi police became active in the mentioned areas, and started assembling security measures.
To avoid any unforeseen or unfortunate events, the police are on-alert in multiple areas surrounding the monument.
A police water canon will also be stationed outside the monument.

On Friday, Member National Assembly Salman Mujahid Baloch, who was expelled from Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) in October, has joined the Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP).
PSP chief Mustafa Kamal welcomed the lawmaker into his party while addressing a news conference on Friday. He was accompanied by Baloch and other PSP leaders.
