Parts of UAE received heavy rain and hailstorm as per prediction of Met office. Social media was abuzz with pictures and videos of snow after a hailstorm hit the northern emirates.
People started sharing pictures and videos of snow on the mountains of Ras- Al Khaimah and some parts of Fujairah and Sharjah.
Motorists were warned to maintain speed limits. Valleys in Fujairah, Khor Fakkan and Kalba received flooding due to heavy rain.
Umm Al Quwain received heavy rain while Dubai, Ajman, Al Ain and parts of Abu Dhabi received little to moderate rain.
Yabsa bypass road was closed due to landsliding and commuters were requested to stay indoors.
