Terror bid foiled; police seize explosive-laden vehicle in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Police seized an explosive-laden vehicle in Bara Kahu area of the federal capital on Saturday.
Sources said that the police acting on intelligence reports recovered the non-custom paid vehicle parked in a house located in Bara Kahu.
The sources said that 130 kg explosives were fitted in the cylinder and widows of the vehicle carrying registration number HK-522.
The owner of the house was also taken into custody during the raid. Quoting sources in the security agencies, our correspondent said the vehicle was to be used in a suicide attack possibly on one of military installations in the country.
